two talented individuals to our leadership team
Laura B. Anderson, AIA, NCARB, ICC named Principal at Studio Southwest Architects
Laura is a well-known architect in the Albuquerque community and has been working as a Senior Architect at Studio Southwest Architects (Studio SW) for 4 years. Her 20 years of experience has brought considerable talent to the team and her steadfast business sense, gained from operating her own firm for several years, makes her an asset to the firm’s leadership team. Laura’s design portfolio is diverse and includes projects in the commercial, cultural, healthcare, hospitality, and education sectors. She applies sustainable design principles as a matter of course and is dedicated to the philosophy of designing to do less harm.
At Studio SW, Laura manages the firm’s City of Albuquerque On-Call contract and the Albuquerque BioPark Zoo’s Australia exhibit team, which is currently under construction. Laura received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico – School of Architecture and Planning with a minor in Business Management from the Anderson School of Management. She received her Master of Architecture degree from the Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design at Washington University in St. Louis – Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.
Robert Maze, AIA promoted to Associate at Studio Southwest Architects
Bob joined Studio Southwest Architects (Studio SW) as a Senior Architect in 2018 after operating his private practice for seventeen years. His experience includes the design of commercial, residential, and hospitality projects in the southwest region. Bob is an avid environmentalist and emphasizes energy efficiency in all his projects. He uses his affinity for solving technical challenges to manage some of the firm’s federal contracts for Sandia National Laboratories and Los Alamos Laboratory. As an Associate he will help move the firm’s sustainability initiatives further and support the team with his ability to navigate complex details with a calm and balanced perspective. Bob received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkley and his Master of Architecture degree from the University of New Mexico School of Architecture and Planning.
