Studio Southwest Architects BreakS personal records at CANstruction Santa Fe.

For the third year in a row, Studio Southwest Architects topped the AIA Santa Fe CANstruction charts bringing home awards for Most Cans, Best Meal, Structural Ingenuity, and Most Original Design. Their Rock You Like a HurriCAN sculpture features an enormous facial profile with a piano, sheet music, and a guitar exploding in all directions.

With over 20 different ingredients, this year’s “RockCANRoll” themed sculpture generated 6,816 cans for The Food Depot, the most cans generated by a single sculpture in CANstruction Santa Fe’s history. The Studio Southwest Architects team brought concert level energy to their fundraising efforts and doubled their number of sponsors from 2017. With the help of their sponsors: Tandis, HB Construction, Assa Abloy, Sto, Wagon Self Storage, Samon’s Electric and Plumbing Supply, Luchini Trujillo Structural Engineers, Steelcase, CSTi, Business Environments, Arizona Tile, ARI Graphix, Daltile, Halcom, IW Incorporated, and Paws to People the Studio Southwest Architects team also topped their volunteer participation record.

Studio Southwest Architects is a creative and collaborative design studio that has been based in Albuquerque for 34 years. Decades of public and private work has defined their holistic approach to providing architecture and planning services.
