The Gonstead Physical Medicine Clinic is located in Petroglyph Medical Plaza, a commercial development located in the gateway of Rio Rancho along Unser Boulevard, across from the Presbyterian Rust Medical Center. The project is a 7,000 sf building that includes a 5,000 sf chiropractic outpatient clinic, and a 2,000 sf shell space for medical office, retail, or possible expansion of the chiropractic practice.

Studio SW designed the building to create a recognizable presence for the Gonstead franchise on the west side of Albuquerque by utilizing contemporary architectural design while adhering to the budget defined by the design-build construction team. The close collaboration between architect and contractor was the key to meeting the required aesthetic quality at a reasonable cost. By dividing the project into a shell package and a tenant improvement package, the team was able to streamline the design and permitting process.
